About the company:

We are Sila—a next generation battery materials company dedicated to accelerating energy transformation for a more sustainable future.

Our next-gen anode material is the first significant chemistry improvement to lithium-ion batteries to reach the market in 30 years. Our silicon anode material is a simple drop-in replacement to graphite and significantly boosts the energy density of lithium-ion batteries without compromising performance.

Today, Sila science powers innovative consumer electronics. Tomorrow, it will fuel our EV future and the electrification of everything.

We work directly with leading consumer electronics and automotive OEMs to help accelerate product roadmaps, and partners with battery manufacturers commercial cell production. Our partners include BMW, Daimler, and ATL.

Sila Nano works directly with leading consumer electronics and automotive OEMs to help accelerate product roadmaps, and partners with battery manufacturers commercial cell production.

Sila Nano’s first products significantly increase the energy density of state-of-the-art lithium-ion batteries. Our materials are manufacturable economically at scale and are drop-in replacements to existing battery manufacturing processes.

About Us

We are Sila, a next-generation battery materials company. Our mission is to power the world’s transition to clean energy. To create this future, our team is building a better lithium-ion battery from the inside out today. We engineer and manufacture ground-breaking battery materials that significantly increase the energy density of batteries, while reducing their size and weight. The result? Smaller more powerful batteries that can unlock innovation in consumer devices and accelerate the mass adoption of electric cars to eliminate our dependence on fossil fuels. We're tackling one of the biggest challenges of our time every day, and together we're redefining what's possible. Are you ready to be a part of a team committed to changing the world?

Who You Are

As the BIM and Digital Design Delivery Lead for the Capital Projects team, you will establish the infrastructure and work processes necessary to complete detailed designs and maintain a digital twin of Sila mass production facilities. You are a driven and capable leader in digital design delivery and VDC, specializing in Autodesk platforms (Navis, Revit, Plant 3D, etc.), and you’re not afraid of building departments and strategies from the ground up.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Establish and manage Autodesk Construction Cloud hub for native 3D and 2D design models/deliverables and federated Navisworks models. Federate internal and contractor models on a regular basis.
  • Establish and manage software solutions and work processes for as-builting, which may include point cloud scanning.
  • Write and/or implement plugins and automation to simplify routine tasks, e.g., standardizing drawing title blocks, scope ID’s, custom model parameters, etc.
  • Establish and manage 3D content library of standard and specialty parts for all disciplines.
  • Troubleshoot model and software issues to support internal design teams.
  • Establish hardware requirements for design teams and participate in IT reviews for software packages.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD Plant 3D, including experience with fabrication parts for specialty manufacturing industries.
  • Limited software development capabilities, e.g., scripting, plugins, Excel macros for automatic imports, etc. is highly desired.
  • Background in semiconductor, battery materials, battery cell, or specialty materials companies with indoor and outdoor facilities highly preferred.
  • Self-driven, “can-do” attitude fitting a nimble early-stage startup scaling into global-scale mass production.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Wear personal protective equipment while in construction zones including, but not limited to, a hard hat, safety glasses, and safety shoes
  • Walk moderate distances and/or be stationary for extended periods of time
  • Climb stairs or over containment walls < 3 feet
  • Operate a computer and other office equipment

The starting base pay for this role is between $151,000 and $191,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila’s competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses.  The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
