We are searching for a Manufacturing Co-Op with a passion for tackling climate change. In this role, you will join a team responsible for the assembly of electrolyzer stacks, with the goal of building the underlying fabrication and assembly processes to enable our production goals. This will involve spending time with the production team to identify, triage, and then correct everyday manufacturing problems, as well as continuously improve our assembly processes. As a small company, daily tasks can and will be varied; our work will be focused around our goal of enabling deep decarbonization!

For this effort, you'll have a mentor to provide the guidance you need to do great work. Your goal will be to achieve some work products that you can be proud of and that will materially help the team achieve success.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Everyday troubleshooting (help diagnose broken equipment and processes, document and define problems with hardware builds)
  • Maintain and grow a manufacturing work order system and quality management system
  • Help design, run, and analyze characterization and process commissioning tests
  • Tooling and fixture design
  • Process data collection and analysis
  • Identify, design, and implement process improvements
  • Spend a significant portion of time out on the manufacturing floor to improve our processes

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in engineering, physics, or a similar technical field
  • Ability to clearly communicate your work and ideas in order to help drive decision making
  • Motivated team player, passionate about our industry
  • Thorough problem solver

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Machine shop experience or similar
  • Project experience that involved hands-on building
  • Deep debugging (physical or software) experience
Compensation and Benefits
  • All students will have the opportunity to develop communication skills, gain laboratory experience and benefit from a valuable experience within a start-up culture while learning about the energy industry.
  • $1,500 transportation stipend will be provided or $3,000 relocation stipend (depending on location)

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.​
