What You Will Be Doing

The Sr Benefits Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the administration of employee benefits programs for ChargePoint ensuring that benefits plans are supported in compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.  In this role you will be the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and issues related to benefits, such as claims, coverage, and eligibility.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

  • Managing the processing of benefits documentation, including enrollments, terminations, and changes.
  • Support the administration of employee leave programs including leaves of absence, short and long-term disability, workers’ compensation, and requests for reasonable accommodations; ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA and other applicable laws and regulations,
  • Ensuring compliance with legal requirements, such as the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other relevant regulations.
  • Act as a liaison between benefit vendors, brokers, and employees for escalated benefits concerns and issues.
  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits and wellness programs, aimed at attracting top talent and supporting employee well-being.
  • Manage the distribution of plan related documentation such as summary plan descriptions, annual reports, and required notices; ensure all required benefit reporting is completed timely.
  • Overseeing the administration of retirement plans, healthcare benefits, life insurance, disability insurance, and other employee benefits.
  • Managing and coordinating open enrollment periods and related communication to employees.
  • Serve as the Benefits Subject Matter Expert for the People Operations team. Train and mentor front line team to ensure quality support for employees.
  • In partnership with the Total Rewards team, identify opportunities for continuous improvement in Benefit processes and offerings.
  • Project lead for technology and process improvements related to Benefit administration.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as defined

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience working in human resources benefits is required, preferably with a broad scope of responsibilities
  • At least 3 years’ experience in fast-paced, high growth work environment highly desired
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Friendly, energetic, and comfortable making decisions; works at a fast pace
  • Experience working with and optimizing HR platforms. UKG preferred
  • Experience managing and drawing insights from data
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Aptitude in problem-solving and thinking outside the box
  • Desire to work as a team with a result driven approach
  • Graduation / Post Graduation in HR or relevant field

The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $65,000 to $132,000. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
