As the Benefits Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing and administering employee benefits programs to ensure our employees receive competitive and valuable compensation and perks. You will be responsible for benefits administration, leaves administration, employee communication, compliance, and problem resolution, among other tasks.

Responsibilities
Benefits Administration
Oversee the day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, dental insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits offeringsAssist employees with the enrollment process, ensuring accurate and timely completion of forms and documentationAssist with benefits configuration and testing for Annual Open EnrollmentEmployee Communication
Explain benefit programs to employees, including eligibility criteria, coverage options, and any changes in benefits offerings.Conduct employee education sessions or workshops to help employees make informed benefit decisions.Create news feeds on the intranet to keep employees with Benefit/Wellness related events.Compliance
Ensure that all benefits programs comply with relevant laws and regulations, such as ERISA, ACA, and state-specific requirements.Stay up to date with legislative changes that may impact benefits offerings.Problem Resolution
Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns related to benefits, such as claims, coverage, and eligibility.Work to resolve issues and provide guidance on benefits-related matters.Data Management
Maintain accurate records related to employee benefits, including enrollment data, beneficiary information, and plan documents.Ensure that all records are up to date and properly stored.Assist with the carrier invoices reconciliation with Finance Team. Cost Analysis
Assist in cost analysis and budgeting for employee benefitsCollaborate with HR and finance teams to evaluate the financial impact of benefits programs and recommend cost-effective solutions.Vendor Management
Coordinate with insurance providers, retirement plan administrators, and other benefit vendors.Resolve service issues and ensure that the organization receives quality servicesEmployee Assistance
Provide guidance and support to employees facing life events that may affect their benefits, such as marriage, childbirth, or retirement.Assist with the coordination of benefit-related accommodations or changes.Reporting
Generate reports and analytics on the usage and cost of benefits programs.Present data to senior management to inform decision-making related to benefits offerings.Contingent Worker Administration
Maintain the full- lifecycle of the contingent worker record in WorkdayWork with managers to ensure the accuracy of the data.Leaves Administration
Ensure Leaves records are accurately maintained in WorkdayAssist and educate employees going out and coming back on Leaves on what the company and state offersCalculate the amount of pay required by the company to make an employee’s paycheck ‘whole’ while on Paid Parental leave.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).1-2 years of previous experience in benefits administration or related HR roles.Knowledge of relevant employment laws, including ERISA, ACA, and state regulations.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in documentation.Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.Proficiency with HR software and Microsoft Office applications.Strong organizational and time management skills.Skills
