In this role you will be responsible for managing the design, development, specification, and evaluation of ESS Li-ion batteries. You will be a member of a team focused on specification and evaluation of supplier developed systems and components and their integration into Fluence stationary energy storage systems. You will define and manage requirements with suppliers and internal partners and be both a technical leader and project manager.

Key role responsibilities include:
Responsible for hardware and software requirements documents, working with Sales, Engineering, Project Management and Product teams. Lead and Manage supplier development including design reviews. Manage and coordinate development and validation testing. Work with project/product management to track and maintain schedule. Develop a deep understanding of supplier ecosystem and solutions to be able to manage and communicate technical risks to the broader Fluence team. Travel as needed up to 25% with exceptions for pandemic conditions.What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence?
Passion for batteries, sharing know-how, and learning from others. Ability to utilize data and statistical analyses to make design decisions. Technical knowledge in broad area of engineering disciplines (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Thermal, Materials, Safety, Test/Validation, Manufacturing) 7+ years in design and development of high voltage battery systems. Strong knowledge of system engineering principles. Experience with requirements management and test tracking tools. (Jira, Jama, Doors, TestRail, etc.) B.S. in Engineering or related field
