The Associate Instructional Designer will work with cross-functional teams to develop learning solutions that promote and sustain continuous employee development while directly impacting company success. This position requires a passionate, self-starting, detail-oriented person to find optimal learning solutions for our unique audiences and fast-paced environments. You will also be responsible for utilizing agile project management practices to enable effective and efficient training development processes.

You Will:

  • Develop and implement sustainable, engaging course content using a variety of delivery methods, including videos, on-the-job resources, online and instructor-led courseware, and digital and print performance support.
  • Collaborate with broader learning and development team and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather training needs, then translate that into a quality training experience.
  • Engage with and ensure external vendors and partners supplement our internal training strategies and development activities.
  • Primarily focusing on applying adult learning theory and formal instructional design principles in assessing, and developing training objectives, plans, outlines, structure, and content development.
  • Utilizing end-to-end design in creating the learning experience.
  • Review training content to ensure it meets guidelines and standards.
  • Implementing strategies to support process improvement.
  • Leverage knowledge, experience, data, and tools to forecast, prepare for, and respond to changes in the business that will impact existing and future learning needs.
  • Identify and present opportunities to incorporate new technology into processes and flows, ensuring that documentation, processes, and training follows.
  • Create an environment where every employee is valued for their contributions, and they understand how they impact the success of the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • You Bring:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent education or 6+ years of instructional design and/or curriculum development experience.
  • Possesses advanced L&D technical and functional competencies in using development software to support instructional systems design, criterion-referenced instruction, performance-based delivery, and developing, leading, and implementing design projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles.
  • Experience developing engaging instructor-led, online, and performance support materials.
  • Demonstrated expertise in needs assessment, test design and validation, and measurement of the effectiveness of training.
  • Superior communication skills with a keen eye for editing.
  • Detail-orientated, skilled in organizing and establishing priorities.
  • Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Articulate 360, Camtasia, PowerPoint, and other training development software.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Learning Management Systems, preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience working in a manufacturing or sales environment, preferred.
