Lucid is looking for an experienced compliance attorney and leader to join our legal team. This role will support Lucid’s business leaders and stakeholders in the management and enhancement of Lucid’s Ethics & Compliance program.
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
· California (Bay Area) - $212,000 - $302,000 annually
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. Manage and enhance a comprehensive program for legal and ethical compliance that meets all applicable legal requirements and industry standardsImplement and manage compliance policies, protocols, and trainingAssess company procedures, policies, and practices to identify potential risksDevelop and implement risk-based action plans in connection with internal audits and investigationsCoordinate with regulatory and government officials at various levels and respond to inquiriesManage government reporting on various compliance mattersCounsel company management on legal and ethical compliance laws, regulations, and requirementsDevelop and implement training regimens for compliance topicsWork seamlessly and collaboratively within the legal team and as a legal business partner to multiple internal business stakeholdersRequirements:
Minimum of 12 years of substantive legal experience with a corporate legal department or law firm with 5+ years of experience in anti-corruption, antitrust and/or other ethics & compliance subject mattersExperience leading compliance teams strongly desiredStrategic thinking and ability to execute plansExcellent communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to effectively relay complex information in a concise format to executive and Board-level audiencesPractical business judgmentDemonstrated ability to work efficiently and independently, prioritize workflow, meet demanding deadlines, and manage multi-faceted projectsProven track record of learning quickly, taking initiative, working proactively, being resourceful, and taking on additional responsibilityLaw degree (J.D.) from ABA-accredited institutionEligible to practice law (either as in-house counsel or admission to State Bar)
