Runwise is a smart building controls company that helps residential and commercial property owners reduce energy consumption and operating costs through wireless, AI-driven control systems. The company offers smart controls for heating, cooling, gas leak detection, and water monitoring, enabling building operators to cut heating, cooling, and water bills by an average of 23 percent. Its platform replaces legacy infrastructure that historically required extensive wiring and weeks of installation with a single wireless device deployable in one day or less. Runwise operates across more than 10,300 buildings and has generated over $172 million in cumulative savings for its customers, with an environmental impact equivalent to removing 124,000 cars from the road. The company provides its technology with zero upfront costs, with buildings reportedly generating an average of at least $1,725 in profit during their first month. Runwise also helps building owners access utility rebates to further offset costs, reinforcing its mission to make energy efficiency financially accessible. Runwise's focus on the multifamily and commercial real estate sectors positions it as a key player in decarbonizing the built environment, one of the largest sources of greenhouse gas emissions in urban areas. By making smart building technology easy to deploy and financially beneficial from day one, the company lowers the barrier for widespread adoption of green infrastructure. Its transparent approach to publishing verified results across all its buildings differentiates it from competitors in the building controls market.
