We are currently seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in researching and developing battery algorithms. You will be part of a battery algorithm development team passionate about improving and building State-of-charge, State-of-power, and State-of-health algorithms suited for electric vehicles.

Responsibilities
Work in a dynamic, cross-functional team to advance battery control strategy and battery performance In conjunction with battery software, test, design engineers, and data scientists, research and develop battery models and algorithms in MATLAB / SimulinkBattery cell model parameterizationDevelop state estimation algorithms for battery state of charge, energy, health, and powerDevelop models to track and predict the lifetime of cell electrical performance using mathematical/machine learning techniques Develop high-performance battery algorithms suitable for embedded processor applicationDevelop tools to evaluate algorithm performanceCollaborate with the team to determine and achieve battery performance and lifetime targetsIn conjunction with battery test engineers, develop test plans to validate cell models and algorithmsIn conjunction with system engineers, develop integration tests to validate battery algorithms in the vehicleAnalyze and interpret test and simulation dataProduce documentation describing models and algorithmsExpertise
Bachelor, Masters Degree (desired) or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering3+ years of experience in battery algorithm research and developmentExperience in battery cell model characterization and parameterizationExperience with developing battery state estimation algorithms – SoC, SoE, SoP, SoHProficiency in the use of Matlab/Simulink for algorithm design, data analysis, and visualizationTest and simulation data analysisKnowledge of developing solutions using control theories like Kalman filters, state observers, and others.Experience in writing codes to analyze large data setsProduce test requirements and procedures to characterize and validate cell modelsStrong ability to define technical problems and carry out research independentlyExcellent English in writing and speakingNice to have
