We have an interesting opportunity for an Accounts payable specialist to join our team in Italy.

The role offers a challenging and exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of accounting related matters mainly focused on accounts payable, banks reconciliation, customers’ and suppliers’ payments, payroll. Anyway, proactivity is welcomed in Octopus Energy, therefore, if you wish, there are no limits for you to increase your scope of activities

What you'll do

Update accounts payable (e.g. processing invoices)

Prepare weekly payments

Perform banks reconciliation

Update accounts receivable

Assist with reviewing expenses, payroll records and similar

Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings

Assist with other accounting projects

What you'll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s in accounting, finance or relevant field

Accounting certifications and past experience in Tax and Accounting firms will be considered as a plus

Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices

Excellent knowledge of Google drive suite and familiarity with relevant computer software

A desire to be part of a tight and ambitious team, willing to work hard and ‘muck in’ to help out other members of the team.

Be comfortable providing advice in a flexible, dynamic and entrepreneurial environment where priorities may be changeable and often have tight turnaround times.
