As a Yard Coordinator, you will be responsible for moving and managing yard inventory on premise at our Casa Grande location.

You Will:

  • Organize and prioritize trailer placement in collaboration with the OBD/IBD Coordinators
  • Successfully place equipment at corresponding doors, chock tires, and set trailer jacks
  • Inspect containers for damage or unsafe alterations and report any findings to management
  • Instruct drivers on the importance of safety procedures as outlined by the Logistics Manager
  • Work to improve processes and procedures to maximize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency
  • Observe, audit, comply with all OSHA, CTPAT/FTZ, Fire and Preventive Safety requirements
  • Complete daily inspection of jockey truck noting any maintenance issues to management
  • Maintain the cleanliness of outdoor yard area by routinely removing trash and debris
  • Operate vehicles in a safe manner, by following all safety rules and demonstrating professional command of the equipment
  • Arrange trailers in yard to ensure yard space is maximized.
  • Assist shop with pulling trailers in/out of trailer yard
  • Move trailers within the designated areas as required by the operation
  • Must have previous yard switcher experience
  • The ability to perform freight handling duties with a forklift or manual pallet jack/fork-lift
  • The ability to follow instructions, either while working independently, or as part of a team
  • A stable/consistent work history
  • Secondary Responsibilities could include the following:
  • Utilize powered equipment, pick and put away product efficiently and accurately, as assigned by supervisor
  • Inspect equipment and verify/report damage or concerns
  • Some familiarity with computers with the ability to run and print basic reports
  • Identify and communicate exceptions to the leadership team
  • Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Accurately record production by task and complete any necessary paperwork
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Flexibility to train and work in multiple areas
  • Work safely and maintain a clean work environment
  • You Bring:

  • Driving: Minimum 4-5 years required
  • CDL A Required
  • Must have clean driving record, MVD report will be verified during background check
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • US work authorization Required
