The Job

We’re on the hunt for a proactive, motivated Health, Safety, and Environment Officer to join our team. In this vital role, you’ll champion our safety-first culture, ensuring compliance across all teams, including electricians, apprentices, warehouse staff, and administration.   • Safety Leadership & Policy Management
  • Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of WHS policies and procedures.
  • Stay current with industry developments, legislation, and best practices, ensuring they are incorporated into safety policies.
  • Monitor and maintain safety records, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, 45001, and 14001 standards.
  • Lead emergency response planning and provide ongoing coaching on safety practices.
  • Operational Safety & Team Engagement
  • Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to ensure compliance with WHS laws and regulations.
  • Develop and deliver safety training, fostering a culture of safety throughout the organisation.
  • Investigate workplace events and recommend corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Collaborate with all teams, field supervisors, and management to address safety risks related to electrical installations and warehouse operations.
  • Support HR with WHS compliance during recruitment, training, performance management, and offboarding.

  • Experience You’ll Need

  • Formal qualification in Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), such as Cert IV in WHS or equivalent.
  • Experience in a similar WHS role, ideally in electrical, construction, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of WHS legislation, Workers Compensation, Return to Work Coordination, and ISO 9001, 45001, and 14001 standards.
  • Proven experience in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage teams to promote a safety-first culture.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and safety management systems (e.g., ISO, LMS).
  • Experience That's a Plus

  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Fire Safety Advisor certification
  • Electrical Licence
