We are seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our growing team at Octopus Energy’s heat pump factory in Portadown, Northern Ireland.
As the Warehouse Manager, you will have a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising warehouse operations. This includes meticulous management of goods in and out, as well as close collaboration with production and quality technicians to ensure stringent stock standards are maintained. The role will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our heat pump manufacturing facility. Over the next year, you may also be required to build a warehousing team to support the growth of the rapidly expanding business.

What you'll do
Efficiently manage and coordinate all facets of warehouse operations, including streamlining processes to enhance efficiency and reduce lead timesImplement robust inventory control measures and lean principles to optimize stock levels and prevent overstock or shortagesDrive warehousing strategy to align with production schedules and demand forecastsConduct regular audits to ensure accuracy in inventory records and minimize discrepanciesSupervise the receipt and dispatch of goods with high attention to detailCollaborate with quality technicians to ensure products align with specified standardsMaintain a vigilant approach to inventory levels, coordinating with various departments to ensure seamless operationsEnsure warehouse operations are carried out in a safe mannerWhat you'll need
Proven experience (preferably 5+ years) as a Warehouse Manager/Supervisor within the manufacturing sectorA strong desire to ‘get stuck in’ - we need someone who wants to build the warehousing function from scratch and is excited to run with high level guidanceA strategic mindset, with exemplary organizational skills and acute attention to detailStrong communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration between the warehouse, internal production, purchasing and quality teams as well as external suppliers, logistics and warehousing providersDemonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently with efficiency and effectiveness.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environmentFlexibility and adaptability to handle changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to be on-site every day at our Portadown heat pump factoryWhy else you'll love it here
