This position will be within the Fluence Digital business unit, formed following Fluence’s acquisition of San Francisco-based start-up AMS. Fluence Digital’s IQ platform uses artificial intelligence, advanced price forecasting, portfolio optimization and market bidding to ensure energy storage and flexible generation assets are optimally participating in wholesale electricity markets.

Fluence Digital is a SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) company with an AI (artificial intelligence) software platform that uses deep learning algorithms to enable strategic, optimized trading of complex assets in energy markets. We’ve built the most advanced deep neural network optimization and trading platform specifically designed to enable the real-time, optimized transaction of complex energy assets, including batteries, solar, and wind.
Fluence Digital’s software technology uses artificial intelligence, advanced price forecasting, portfolio optimization and market bidding to ensure energy storage and flexible generation assets are responding optimally to price signals sent by the market. The VP Digital Commercial, EMEA will be an integral member of Fluence Digital’s Commercial Leadership team, leading Fluence Digital’s EMEA business development and customer success efforts. The role will focus on the EMEA Market but may serve some strategic global clients with operations outside on occasion.
The role will be based in Fluence Digital’s London England office (remote candidates are encouraged to apply) and will report to the Global Head of Digital Commercial, with close interaction with the Product, Marketing, Finance, Strategy & Operations teams.

Key role responsibilities include:
Business development: lead regional sales team and revenue targets and provide internal & external leadership. Executive leader responsible for Fluence Digital’s growth in the EMEA market, acquiring new customers for Fluence Digital’s products while maximizing value creation for existing customers.Own executive relationships with key accounts active in EMEA including investor-owned utilities, retailers, and independent power producers. Drive efficiency and performance within the EMEA Commercial team, including business development and customer success, highlighting best practices, collecting lessons learned, and Oversee the scoping and utilization of Fluence Digital’s sales engineering tools and processes to model and quantify the value Fluence Digital can add for individual customers. Customer Success: retain and grow revenue of existing customer by focusing on value creation and a world class customer experience. Provide the “voice of the customer,” highlighting requirements and key purchasing criteria. Identify new commercial opportunities based on customer engagements, first-hand knowledge of the California market, and research into other markets; quantify the value of these new opportunities and drive prioritization. Monitor policy and regulatory developments in EMEA by attending stakeholder initiative processes and participating in industry associations; inform internal stakeholders on impacts to Fluence Digital commercial and product strategies. MarketingTrack customers’ readiness to engage Fluence Digital; maintain accurate records in Fluence Digital’s customer relationship management system. Track maturation of Fluence Digital’s competitive environment to inform Fluence Digital positioning, product offering, and go-to-market strategies.

Education
