About the Role

As Vice President of Business Development and Client growth, you will help lead WeaveGrid in its next phase of growth. You will lead sales strategy and execution and be responsible for further accelerating the company’s success with its utility clients across the country.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead sales strategy, goal setting, and execution for new and existing clients to deliver against WeaveGrid’s ambitious revenue goals
  • Manage existing sales team and develop and execute a hiring plan to meet the company’s revenue goals
  • Drive expansion strategy for transformative new deals with existing clients, including influence and collaboration for multi-year plans
  • In the near term, directly own relationships with the largest utilities in the US and drive account strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to develop and deliver go-to-market plans for partner marketing and regulatory engagement  
  • Act as a culture carrier for the company to reinforce its values as the company continues to grow
  • Be able to serve as WeaveGrid’s voice/ambassador at executive industry events
  • Special projects and other duties as designated by the CEO or assigned designee

You value being realistically optimistic and finding creative solutions to drive a deal to completion quickly, while staying honest with yourself about what makes a program the best fit for our product. You want to grow and leverage Weave Grid’s positive reputation in our industry by building connections and creating a long track record of success. You’ve enjoyed working in a fast-paced environment at a high growth company, while demonstrating a high degree of empathy for clients and team members across departments.

  • You have a demonstrated track record of empathy, team building, a spirit of inquiry, and solutions orientation
  • You have the proven ability to attract and retain outstanding team members 
  • You possess domain expertise through industry experience in one or several of the following areas: Electric mobility, Power systems, Public utility regulation, Residential energy assets
  • You’re able to work with diverse teams and translate between various areas of expertise
  • You are able to regularly travel for work-related trips

Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of full-time experience, including significant experience building and leading business development and client growth teams
  • BA/BS, or equivalent experience, required. Masters, or equivalent experience, preferred
