The UX Researcher and Strategist serves as an advocate for users with a lens towards brand, business, design, and technology. This role will work on challenges like in-car HMI digital and hardware systems, infotainment, voice, touch, and mobile apps.
The UX Research and Strategy team is looking for inspiring and dynamic UX Research & Strategy thought leaders to build Lucid with us. This role is based on-site in headquarters in Newark, CA.

The Role
Substantiate the designers' work and the decisions behind them.Advocate and drive product strategy for a user-centered focus.Lead research operations, documentation, and participant management (screening, recruiting, scheduling, incentivization)Lead critical research efforts and conduct studies that deepen our understanding of the user experience.Conduct research using qualitative and quantitative methodsCreate actionable insights across the product development lifecycle, including UX testing of early prototypes, such as concept validation, usability, IDIs and group interviews, surveys, and more.Work in a highly collaborative fashion as a strategic partner to business leads, product managers, designers, and engineersOversee, collaborate, and prioritize research needs and approaches across multiple work streams to work on the right project, scale, and scope at the right time and ensure impact by delivering actionable insightsPersuade action by providing thought leadership to partners and decision-makers at all levels of the organization, communicating your insights through writing, presentations, or conversations.Work closely with design, product management, and cross-function teams to develop innovative end-to-end solutions that address top outcomes.Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience conducting user research in an applied setting, including end-to-end experience with all aspects of research (e.g., study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting)Experience working as a user research lead on multiple projects, managing end-to-end research initiativeExperience with a full range of research methods: qualitative and quantitative, attitudinal and behavioral.Previous experience participating in field studies and in-person labs, remote moderated and unmoderated studies, research for multiple devices and form factors, and a strong grasp of quantitative data analysis and statistics.An online portfolio of work samples demonstrating the ability to plan and execute impactful user research, and to extract actionable insights from qualitative and quantitative data.Verbal and written skills in English.Advantageous
Experience with at least 1 physical & digital product research study (not just mobile or tablet)Experience with a variety of research tools and platforms; Eye Tracking Glasses, Research platforms, e.g. UserTesting(.com), UserInterviews(.com), Qualtrics, and TableauAutomotive & transportation industry experience or have worked on IoT or other complex physical & digital products or start-up experience.
