What You Will Be Doing

You will be part of the product design team that is responsible for the charging station management software solutions – both enterprise as consumer type users. In this role you will work together with the product managers, user researchers, UX designers, developers and customers to shape the direction and requirements for the products that the product team will be working on.

Via our Customer Excellence department, the product teams are in close touch with our customers. You will regularly attend meetings with customers and will be able to gather feedback on any user experience related issues.

Besides the product teams you will also work with colleagues in our offices in Campbell, Ca and Radstadt, Austria on creating global solutions that span experiences with driver mobile apps, auto in-dash experiences and interactions with charging stations.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

  • Work on the informational structures (mental models, flows, sitemaps, etc.) based on the research and define the user experience for both existing and future products.
  • Create UI designs based on our Atomic Design System and review, discuss, and update the components with other designers.
  • Effectively present and persuasively convey design solutions to team members.
  • Collaborate with developers (front end, back end, data science) to make sure the implementation of your designs is done right.
  • Initiate, plan for, and conduct user research (both qualitative and quantitative) and analyze the outcomes with team members and relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute, along with other designers, to the longer-term strategy of UX within the organization.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of work experience in UX/UI Design, in a B2B environment is a plus.
  • Up to date knowledge of web app technologies and developments.
  • Experience in working in agile teams.
  • Experience in (design) tools such as or similar to; Sketch, Figma.
  • A portfolio that reflects your role, responsibilities, and capabilities from your work experience.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive and detail oriented. You don’t think in problems but in solutions.
