About This Role:
Crusoe Energy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Testing Lead specializing in Electrical Distribution Systems to champion the quality and operational readiness of our critical infrastructure powering cutting-edge AI. This individual contributor role, based in our Tulsa facility, will be instrumental in ensuring the excellence of our products through focused leadership across three key areas: driving and refining quality control processes for electrical systems, developing and executing comprehensive testing protocols for switchgear assemblies (including Factory Acceptance Testing), and guaranteeing meticulous compliance with Underwriters Laboratories (UL891) requirements and stringent internal electrical quality benchmarks. This involves in-depth UL standards interpretation, the rigorous implementation of electrical inspection protocols, and meticulous oversight of the final electrical inspection stage. The Quality Area Lead will collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to uphold the highest standards of product functionality, safety, and regulatory adherence, ensuring our electrical distribution systems meet superior quality standards. This is a full-time position.
What You’ll Be Working On:
Electrical Quality Control Procedure Development: Oversee the development and implementation of robust quality control procedures and processes specifically tailored to electrical materials, components, and finished products.
Electrical Inspection Plan and Methodology Design: Design and maintain detailed electrical inspection plans, implement effective sampling procedures for electrical components, and establish rigorous electrical testing methodologies.
Electrical Quality Issue Analysis and Resolution: Proactively analyze and resolve complex electrical quality issues, employing thorough root cause analysis.
Implementation of Corrective/Preventive Actions: Implement effective corrective and preventive actions to address electrical quality issues.
Testing Department Management: Lead the testing department, managing test personnel, specialized electrical testing equipment, and comprehensive testing procedures for switchgear assemblies, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
Electrical Test Protocol Development and Validation: Develop and validate precise electrical test protocols to ensure accurate and reliable product testing, encompassing functional, electrical, and safety evaluations.
Performance of Electrical Tests: Direct the performance of a variety of critical electrical tests, including but not limited to insulation resistance, dielectric withstand (hi-pot), continuity, operational sequencing, and protective relay verification.
Compliance with Electrical Standards and Regulations: Ensure that all testing activities strictly comply with relevant electrical industry standards, safety regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70E, UL 891, IEEE, ANSI), and internal electrical quality management system requirements.
Electrical Test Record and Documentation Maintenance: Maintain meticulous and complete test records and documentation for all electrical testing procedures and results.
UL Compliance Assurance (UL891 Focus): Guarantee that all manufactured electrical distribution products rigorously comply with Underwriters Laboratories (UL891) standards and all other applicable electrical safety regulations.
UL Certification Process Management: Expertly manage the UL certification process for electrical assemblies, including meticulous documentation preparation, coordination of audits, and diligent follow-up on any findings.
Final Electrical Inspection Oversight (UL891 Focus): Oversee the final comprehensive electrical inspection process to verify that finished products meet all stringent quality, safety, and performance requirements, with a specific focus on UL891 compliance, before shipment.
UL Standards and Regulatory Knowledge: Maintain current and in-depth knowledge of UL891 standards and any relevant regulatory changes impacting electrical distribution equipment.
Collaboration on UL Compliance: Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to proactively address any UL891 compliance issues and ensure adherence to requirements throughout the manufacturing process.
