Test Engineer

We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.</span></p></div><p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 300;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">Design and build reliable automated test equipment to validate and certify electronic propulsion systems.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">Work together with Design Engineers, System Engineers, and Reliability Engineers to Identify design critica operating modes and create design validation test plans.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 300;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">Work with test technicians to build validation test setups and execute test plans and teardowns.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 300;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">Investigate device failures to determine root cause and drive product improvements.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 300;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">Identify and plan critical tests to validate new technologies.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>What you’ll need:</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 300;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">Bachelor's degree in Engineering&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">2+ years of experience with physical testing and analysis of mechanical or electronic systems against detailed requirements.&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">2+ years of direct automation design and build experience (automated testing, manufacturing, robotics, industrial etc.)</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 300;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">Experience leading and driving technical projects to completion</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 300;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">Basic working understanding of electrical circuit design, mechanical engineering, power electronics, motor drives&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 300;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">Experience with object-oriented coding language. LabView, NI, C, Python.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 300;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">Experience with electrical test equipment, hand tools, power tools.&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">Strong fundamental statistics background&nbsp;</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>Bonus Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 300;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">2+ years of experience with component, system, or vehicle validation testing (FAA DO160, Biomedical FDA testing, or equivalent)&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 300;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">Strong Electrical Engineering Background (active circuit design, power electronics, digital circuits, motor drives, signal measurement and conditioning) and/or Mechanical Engineering Background (fluids, mechanics of Materials, heat transfer)</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 300;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">Experience with Python, MATLAB, NI, or other data acquisition and analysis software.&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 300;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">Experience with data analysis and visualization, JMP, Python, Minitab etc.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">Experience working with interdisciplinary teams across an organization</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 300;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">Strong communicator and presenter of technical content</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">Experience using CAD software to create basic fixtures</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">Experience with HV systems and safety.&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">Experience with integrated system communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, RS485 etc.)&nbsp;</span></li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><h5><span style="font-weight: 400;">Archer is proud to be an Equal Opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
