The Role:

  • Use a range of hand and power tools to assemble and teardown battery modules.
  • Operate assembly equipment including proprietary CAN-based development tools.
  • Set up, instrument and install battery modules with various sensors and equipment in preparation for testing.
  • Work on thermal systems, chillers, valves, plumbing to conduct thermal testing on modules.
  • Monitor software for data, reliability and efficiency for all ongoing testing.
  • Perform electrical testing.
  • Retain confidentiality of testing, procedures and data at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness of workspace and inventory of related parts.
  • Work with others in a cross functional environment and follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a degreed technician (AA or equivalent ASE certification)
  • Excellent attention to detail while following instructions
  • Expert at using hand tools
  • Experience using electrical test equipment such as voltmeter and resistance tester
  • Basic knowledge and proper handling of battery cells and modules
  • Familiarity with the safety aspect of batteries and battery testing
  • Basic knowledge of Excel and Word programs
  • Preferred:

  • Understanding electrical schematics 
  • High voltage certification
  • Working knowledge of CAN communication
