We are looking for an AV Support Technician. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for ensuring IT support requests are addressed in a timely manner while exhibiting exemplary customer service skills. Candidates should be excellent engineers and organizers that have demonstrated the ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. The Role:

  • Accurately record, update and document requests utilizing Jira and any other duties as assigned by AV and IT management.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for all areas of AV, providing critical support, mentoring, and guidance to the IT HelpDesk.
  • Respond to all troubleshooting issues regarding AV equipment, properly evaluate issues and escalate those that are problems to management.
  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity of conference rooms, and training environments in multiple locations.
  • Execute solid customer service skills while acting as a liaison between the end user and other AV/IT personnel.
  • Create knowledge-based documentation, user manual creation, technical writing skills +
  • maintain a schedule for preventative maintenance while understanding the utilization needs of the company, checking performance and functionality of all systems including controls.
  • Set up, operate and tear down of audio/video equipment in live events
  • Work closely with executive staff members to support high level meetings, and events. 
  • Accurately Maintain audio/video equipment inventory. 
  • Qualifications:

  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Audio-Visual troubleshooting skills
  • 2+ years' experience in the AV industry in a support or installer role
  • Proficiency of Video Conferencing Software, Windows & Mac OS 
  • Basic networking skills including TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
  • High level of physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy equipment
  • Education:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent major preferred
