This position will be within the Fluence Digital business unit, formed following Fluence’s acquisition of San Francisco-based start-up AMS. Fluence Digital’s IQ platform uses artificial intelligence, advanced price forecasting, portfolio optimization and market bidding to ensure energy storage and flexible generation assets are optimally participating in wholesale electricity markets.
This Technical Writer will be an integral member of the Fluence Digital team, coordinating technical documentation projects between multiple cross-functional teams to benefit internal and external users.
The role will be based in Fluence Digital’s San Francisco office (remote candidates will be considered), and will report to the Director of Product, with close interaction with Data Science, Engineering, Design, Operations, and Commercial teams.
Key role responsibilities include:
- Design, create, and maintain documentation that is informative, concise, visually compelling, and a delight to consume for internal and external use
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineers, data scientists, product managers, designers, and customer success on documentation requirements for new products, features, and APIs
- Distill complex and technical subject matter into intuitive content and formats (text, diagrams, multimedia) that are easily digestible by non-technical roles
- Maintain documentation quality through rigorous testing and reviews, and assess documentation success through metrics and qualitative analysis
- Define documentation backlog and deliver assets on time with product releases

In Colorado, the standard pay range for this role is $88K - $110K annually. This range is specific to Colorado and may not be applicable in other locations.
