As a Technical Specialist in Chassis Electronics, you will design and validate all forms of controlled suspensions, being responsible for system/software/architecture design, development and validation.  

You will engage with attribute groups and other system owners to develop world-class functionality from concept to production.

  • Develop the requirements and specifications for semi-active and/or fully-active suspension systems, from initial concept to SOP with excellence and great detail
  • Create, execute and document system design validation plans to include virtual, HiL and vehicle-based activity
  • Networks design and integration (CAN, Ethernet and LIN)
  • System development, calibration and measurement
  • Issue investigation and resolution by open-minded use of all tools available 
  • Work closely with stakeholders and attribute owners across the company (Vehicle Safety, Vehicle Dynamics, NVH, Durability, Manufacturing, ADAS etc.)
  • Work with multiple complex projects in a demanding environment
  • Travel domestically and internationally as required
  • Qualifications

  • 5+ years of automotive experience with a proven track record of working with complex suspension systems 
  • Proven experience with Vector tools (CANape, CANalyzer, CDMStudio, etc.) 
  • Ability to read and work with electrical schematics, with sound understanding of electrical communication principles
  • Hands-on practical experience in prototype development
  • Proven experience reading and writing code (Matlab/Python/CAPL scripting, C++, model based)
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent problem-solving ability, with an ability to use fundamental principles and data-driven action 
  • Desire for continual learning
  • Driven-vehicle attributes development experience is a plus
  • Education

  • BS/BEng or MS/MEng, or equivalent experience, in Engineering
