This internship sits within the Manufacturing Operations Program Management team and focuses on Technical Program Management across manufacturing operations. You will work cross-functionally to improve processes, analyze data, and support operational excellence initiatives.
In this Role, You Will:
• Partner with cross-functional teams (GA, Manufacturing Execution, Quality, Logistics, Business Applications, and others) to create and optimize business processes.
• Identify process inefficiencies across MOPS and drive actions toward resolution.
• Develop data-driven tools, dashboards, and workflows to streamline operations and generate insights.
• Clean, analyze, and interpret operational data to support business cases for efficiency improvements.
• Document and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and effective execution.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) change management, including stakeholder coordination and communication planning.
• Perform gap analysis by mapping current-state vs. future-state processes.
• Observe production processes to identify variability and recommend standardization opportunities.
• Coordinate workshops and training sessions to roll out new processes and best practices.
Compensation:
The monthly salary range for this position is $6,500 to $7,500. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level of education. Additional benefits may include medical insurance, and a housing stipend (relocation assistance will be offered based on eligibility).

Program Requirements
Currently pursuing a B.S., M.S., or other advanced degree in a relevant engineering field.Plan to return to school after completing the internship.Maintain good academic standing.Available to commit to a 12-week internship beginning in May or June 2026.At least one prior industry internship, co-op, or relevant project experience.Willing and able to relocate to the Bay Area, California, for the duration of the internship.Interns may not use proprietary Zoox information in university theses, publications, or share it outside of Zoox.Qualifications
Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex processes and identify inefficiencies.Familiarity with basic project management tools and frameworks (e.g., Gantt charts, RACI, Kanban).Ability to communicate clearly with both frontline operators and senior leadership.Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including data hygiene and basic trend analysis.Bonus Qualifications
Exposure to SAP ERP or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).Background or coursework in manufacturing, supply chain, or logistics.Experience with SQL, Smartsheet, Databricks, or Looker.Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma concepts.
