Your role and your team:

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Quality, you will be responsible for defining and executing quality inspections at goods receipt in accordance with company internal processes and given ones by the Regulatory Agencies (EASA, FAA etc.).

 Your Day to Day:

  • Create risk-based incoming inspection plans and carry out simple and complex incoming inspections to confirm product conformity and quality performance.
  • Manage quality and inspection escapes by Non-Conformity Reports and Concessions including creation, tracking, and validation.
  • Leverage relationships made to enable the timely and efficient processing of Non-Conformity Reports and Concessions.
  • Analyze technical non-conformances raised against supplier product during incoming inspections and liaise with the Supply Chain Quality Management Team for immediate containment and implementation of corrective/preventive action plans at Suppliers.
  • Interface with Quality Operations, Production, and Logistics to quickly resolve supplier non-conformances found during assembly or test.
  • Establish strong relationships and build trust across your internal and external customers and stakeholders.
  • Manage the flow of product and information coming in and out of Incoming Inspection in a manner that achieves high levels of customer and job satisfaction.
  • Proactively seek to identify roadblocks and areas of improvement and collaborate with stakeholders to create an efficient and effective ecosystem across Supply Chain, Logistics, Incoming Inspection, and Production.
  • Support Procurement and Supply Chain Operations throughout the return-to-vendor process.

Your Profile:

  • Technician degree or applicable experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in effectively performing quality inspections in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical experience and knowledge in electronics, mechanics, as well as composite structures is a must.
  • Ability to use most inspection tools, measuring and test equipment.
  • Must be proficient at reading and interpreting drawings, material, specifications, familiar with GD&T, and have the ability to understand engineering tolerances.
  • Knowledge of and direct experience using non-conformity and Concession management processes.
  • Experience with quality techniques such as Statistical Process Control, Statistical Product Acceptance, and Practical Problem Solving desired.
  • Fact-driven, resilient, and personally committed to achieving success.
  • Must be a proactive, open, and direct communicator who engages comfortably and credibly with all levels of the organization.
  • Able to work well in teams and when necessary, take the lead, as well as be able to work autonomously.
  • Target-oriented, driven work style with analytic problem-solving mindset.
  • Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German or any other language would be beneficial.
  • Willingness to work in shifts.
