Your role and your team:

You will report to the Manager of Technical Publications and work closely with several cross-functional teams including Systems Engineering, Chief Engineering, Flight Testing, Commercial, and Maintenance.   

You will have the rare opportunity to create best-in-class technical manuals that will enable the certification and operation of an iconic eVTOL jet. You will be responsible for planning, developing, and maintaining technical publications within Lilium’s Design Organisation.

You will work with autonomy and in collaboration with our team of technical authors to deliver high-quality publications to support all phases of our aircraft design and operation.

Your day to day:

  • Plan, develop, and revise maintenance publications, including CMM, AMM, SRM, WDM, and IPC    
  • Review design data and other source material to gather and synthesize information required for manuals
  • Work with illustrators to prepare and select illustrations for manuals
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure all relevant technical instructions are captured, articulated, and published to support effective and safe operations of our aircraft
  • Review and edit documents produced by peer authors and engineers, particularly in relation to content organization, style, audience, and consistency of format
  • Analyze and prioritize technical feedback from reviewers and implement necessary changes to the documentation
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of Technical Publications tools, processes, and methods

Your profile:

  • 3 ~ 8 years of experience authoring and revising maintenance publications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; aerospace-related education or AME license would be a plus 
  • Prior experience with developing and implementing technical publications processes and guidelines
  • Proficient with ArborText Editor, Teamcenter, SharePoint, MS Office, and Adobe Acrobat  
  • Familiar with following standards and specifications: ATA, S1000D, CSDB, and Simplified Technical English (STE)
  • Strong attention to detail and personal organization
  • Ability to manage priorities, and a proactive approach to resolving problems and delivering results
  • Ability to work and thrive in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
