What you’ll do:

  • Development and testing of prototype eVTOL aircraft through system verification, integration and ground test
  • Collaborate with teams across the company to develop test plans incorporating requirements from all key stakeholders– Avionics, Propulsion, Battery, Harness, GNC, Aero, and Structures
  • Perform all testing and calibration of aircraft control surfaces, sensors, actuators, and everything else required to make the aircraft ready to fly
  • Analyze test data and share with engineering teams.  This includes root cause analysis and developing a deep understanding of how systems work and interact with other systems
  • Coordinate the companywide systems testing program by creating schedules, highlighting risks, etc.

What you need: 

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with electrical engineering experience
  • Experience with high voltage systems: cars, aircraft, etc. and more specifically electric motors
  • Experience with MATLAB and Python
  • Experience with CAN communications
  • Experience with Linux
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics
  • Hands-on experience in multiple technical fields and comfortable probing and debugging LV and HV electrical systems
  • Excellence in technical writing
  • Positive can-do attitude

Bonus Qualifications: if specific skills will make the person stand out

  • Pilot and/or Aircraft experience
  • Experience with Grafana
  • Experience developing products from prototype to mass production
