About the company:

BETA Technologies is creating an electric transportation ecosystem that’s safe, reliable and sustainable. A relentlessly focused team is building an extensive charging infrastructure and ALIA, the world’s most technologically advanced electric vertical aircraft (EVA).

BETA’s platform and products are strikingly simple. Prioritization of safety and a pragmatic approach to certification drive elegant redundancy, appropriate diversity of implementation and simplicity of control. ALIA’s fixed-pitch propellers and centrally located batteries make it an inherently stable aircraft that is safe to fly and easy to maneuver.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with experience working in systems engineering and familiar with the development and certification of aircraft interiors and cabin systems.  The candidate should be capable of working as an integral team player who can write clear and unambiguous technical requirements and has a working knowledge of SAE ARP4754A and ARP4761.  Experience with aviation safety analysis and Part 23 or Part 27 aircraft or rotorcraft programs is preferred.

The Systems Engineer will be a member of the Systems Integration Team which is responsible for product development processes, airplane and system requirements development, and systems integration.  This position focuses on the development of the A250 airplane cabin systems, which include environmental controls and both mechanical and electrical aspects of the interiors.  Systems engineers at BETA have cross-functional skills and abilities as they may support activities relating to systems engineering, systems integration, system safety, or system certification throughout the A250 program.  Flexibility in supporting team responsibilities as they arise is desired.

The candidate should be comfortable working with a team of certification engineers, DER’s, systems engineers, and design engineers and be able to provide critical design feedback as it relates to safety and requirements verification. The candidate should expect to contribute as a team member to establish, manage and ensure compliance to the customer, regulatory, aircraft, and system-level requirements including demonstrating compliance through safety assessment.

Minimum physical onsite presence of 50% required.
