In this role, you will:
Develop, coordinate, and execute efficient simulation and structured test plans for our autonomy systems, with a focus on perception and sensor performance and how those impact the resulting system driving behavior.Analyze and triage pipeline results that contribute to key launch blocking metrics for software and system releases.Evaluate and characterize the performance of new autonomy sensors and hardware as they are integrated into the Zoox vehicle.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, hardware engineers, systems engineers, simulation developers, and safety experts, to identify and mitigate risks.Develop and refine test methodologies to ensure comprehensive coverage of our autonomy system's operational design domain.Communicate test results and analysis to stakeholders, contributing to the overall safety case and fail operational design for our robotaxi.Qualifications
B.S. or higher degree in Automotive Engineering, Aerospace, Robotics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering, or a relevant technical fieldAt least 5 years of experience in systems engineering, verification, and validation, or a related roleExperience with the development and testing of complex electro-mechanical systemsStrong systems-level thinking and the ability to understand and navigate complex technical systemsAbility to grapple with ambiguity and collaborate with cross functional teamsExperience with requirements and test traceability tools such as Polarion, Jama, DOORS, or TestRailsProficiency with Python and SQLBonus Qualifications
