Your role and your team: 

Will be responsible to support the system leader and coordinate the design of the electronic unit as a whole (either with external or internal stakeholders) by defining the requirements, evaluating concepts, guiding and approving detailed designs, interfacing with other systems, interfacing with other areas (manufacturing, supply chain, program management etc), interfacing with authority during reviews, support integration tests, flight tests and be responsible for the documentation and success of the subsystem as a whole. This engineer needs to be pro-active, able to identify critical risks and suggest solutions, be responsive to complex challenges and be able to handle activities without any supervision. 

This Engineer will be reporting to the Propulsion Vectoring System Leader

Your Day to Day: 

  • Supporting the Certification Basis Preparation (Applicable Standards, Documents, MoCs, etc.)
  • Support the system Certification and Development Plan
  • Support the schedule plan and milestones for the electronics
  • Coordinating Preliminary Dev Plans at Unit Level
  • Capturing L3-L4 requirements
  • Generating System and Subsystem Electrical/Electronics Architectures
  • Performing integration interface at subsystem level (Electronics + Actuator)
  • Support all electronic unit level tests, test plans and reports
  • Transversal topics (mechanical, EMC/Lightning, Thermal, etc) integration with other specialists
  • Interfacing with other Systems
  • Interfacing with Other Areas (manufacturing, supply chain, PM, etc)

Your Profile: 

  • Bachelors Degree Electronics/Electrical Engineer
  • 5-10 years aerospace experience in a similar position and at least one full system certification concluded
  • Prior experience with Actuation Systems for Flight Control Surfaces, preferably that implement some kind of electrical actuation (Flaps, Slats, Stabilizers, etc.)
  • Knowledge / Experience of ARP4754 Design Assurance for Complex Systems Development, Systems Engineering
  • Knowledge of ARP4761 Systems Safety Assessment
  • Knowledge / Experience of RTCA DO-254 (Hardware) and RTCA DO-178 (Software) Design Assurance Standards
  • Knowledge / Experience of RTCA-DO-160 Environmental Test standards
  • Knowledge of Motor Control Electronics for electromechanical actuators
  • Knowledge on Power Electronics and Inverters
  • Basic knowledge on EMC/EMI/Lightning design and test
  • Experience in Sensors, Avionics Communication protocols
