System Emulation and Validation Technical Lead

Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.&nbsp;</p></div><p>As the System Emulation and Validation Lead, you will be expected to work with the Electrical Architecture team to define and develop the infrastructure for testing and executing system performance characterization of the next gen system for higher end autonomy.&nbsp; You will be collaborating with other cross functional teams in gathering all the test requirements and ensuring that the test results meet the performance requirements as specified by the architecture.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Validate and perform system characterization on the custom Serdes protocol that connects between the camera/sensors and the SoC</li> <li>Build infrastructure that validates the technology to <ul> <li>Demonstrate robustness in urban scenarios and resilience to EMI variations</li> <li>Meet power delivery and reverse signaling requirements</li> <li>Meet AEC-Q100 Grade-2 qualification</li> </ul> </li> <li>Execute in system validation of the end to end traffic from camera to ECU</li> <li>Develop the platform to enable prototyping of the next gen system for higher end autonomy</li> <li>Work with the Systems and Perception teams to create test plans and execute them</li> <li>Deliver system characterization reports</li> <li>Prototype different vendor products</li> <li>Develop test software for in system validation</li> <li>Provide feedback on architecture and use cases</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>BS/MS/PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering</li> <li>10+ years of experience in prototyping and validating systems</li> <li>Excellent debugging skills</li> <li>Demonstrate proficiency in C and HDL programming</li> <li>Experience with firmware or device driver programming</li> <li>Experience understanding system use cases and requirements</li> <li>Hand-on experience with lab equipment and lab debug</li> <li>Experience with Python or other scripting language for test automation</li> <li>Strong communication skills</li> <li>Emulation platform experience is a plus</li> <li>Experience with Serdes</li> <li>Exhibits the right teamwork and leadership qualities backed up with references</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-conclusion"><h4>Equal Opportunity</h4> <p>Rivian is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
