The ICON System Administrator’s primary responsibility is to develop and maintain systems necessary to proactively manage ICON’s computers and networks. This may include setting up and maintaining an MDM or RMM solution, managing cloud based active directory services, or managing user licenses and assignments for various cloud based tools. The System Administrator will also be responsible for assisting with tier 2 and tier 3 IT tickets and training tier 1 IT Support staff. This role reports to the Senior Systems Administrator and is based at our Austin, TX lab. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provision computers for new and current employees.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues on Windows devices.
  • Provide tier 2/tier 3 support for Windows users.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain an MDM or RMM solution for Windows devices.
  • Assign and manage SaaS licenses.
  • Install and maintain on premise or cloud based windows servers and windows IoT devices.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5-7 years in a System Administrator role
  • Experience supporting SaaS tools. (Office365, GSuite, etc.)
  • Experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016+
  • Comfort working in a command line interface.
  • Experience working with MDM/RMM solutions

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Windows 10 MCSA & Windows Server 2016 MCSA
  • 5+ years of experience network experience (DNS, DHCP, SSL, TCP/IP troubleshooting)
  • Experience configuring cloud VLANs and S2S VPNs a plus
  • Experience working with REST APIs a plus
