Your role and your team:

We are looking for an ambitious and experienced Supply Chain Operations Manager to join our innovative team that will shape the future of electrical regional air mobility. Working closely with the Lilium Senior Program Leadership, Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality and Logistics as well as major aerospace suppliers your main task will be to ensure that the program objectives are met and that we stay on schedule.

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Operations Propulsion, you will be integral part of the entire supply chain activities for the systems and components within your scope, from supplier selection to part delivery, including the industrialization from prototyping to high volume production.

Specifically, as part of your scope you will be integral part of a team that will develop and realize one of the most innovative e-jet engines in the world. As part of this you will travel to our supplier in Japan on demand to monitor supplier activities.

Your Day to Day:

  • Manage global Supply Chain Operations “end to end”, from forecasting/planning, purchasing, supplier development & monitoring, delivery to final payment (P2P).
  • Be the “delivery manager” for your workpackage, be in control and take responsibility for on-time delivery, supplier schedule, supplier capacity and change implementation.
  • Work in a multi-functional team to identify and assess potential suppliers.
  • Lead selected suppliers towards industrialization of new products.
  • Act as a project/launch manager towards the supplier and take responsibility for supplier schedule, capacity and change implementation.
  • Actively lead the multi-functional team that will:
  • Fully industrialize our benchmark products
  • Drive APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities at Suppliers.
  • Implement data collection at the supplier for transparency on quality and production performance.
  • Ensure the readiness of the supply base by launching capability assessments as well as capacity audits at relevant suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance to the international regulations and customs processes.
  • Work with the Supply Chain Quality Team to ensure that the supply chain will comply to all necessary quality standards of EASA 21G and EN9100.
  • Implement proper risk management to avoid any disruption to the supply of items and program delays.
  • Drive recovery actions internally and at suppliers in case of non-performance.
  • Take part in the deployment of the supply chain control tower with visual monitoring of the performance and risks in the supply chain.
  • Ensure all internal root causes for supplier non-performance (e.g. demand, technical specifications) are identified swiftly and addressed in an efficient collaborative way.
  • Lead by example with uncompromising business ethics and respect for people
  • Be responsible for the ERP system data quality for your scope of work

Your Profile:

Required:

  • Minimum qualifications / education: Bachelor of Engineering and/or similar.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain or technical project management roles within a technology driven industry (ex. automotive, aerospace).
  • Excellent communications and leadership skills. Ability to build trust and consensus and secure commitment from all team members.
  • Can-do and proactive mindset, ability to understand and analyze a problem and come up with solutions.
  • Eager to learn and adopt his/her style to a rapidly changing environment; puts the team first; robust and passionate to follow given objectives; uses failure as learning experience.
  • Willingness to travel on demand within EU as well as worldwide for supplier visits.
  • Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German or any other language would be beneficial.

Beneficial:

  • Technical understanding of electric motors.
  • Relevant professional experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Technical experience with Lean production.
  • Additional skills in project management / Advanced Product Quality Planning.
