  • Manage gear suppliers (spur, helical, planetary; hobbed vs. ground gears; heat treat and grinding processes)
  • Manage bearing suppliers (rolling element, journal; load ratings, L10 life, preload, lubrication systems)
  • Oversee injection molded suppliers (tooling readiness, DFM, shrink rates, PPAP validation) – preferred experience
  • Lead supplier recovery plans for long-lead gears, bearings, and machined components
  • Partner cross-functionally across Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, PMO, Logistics, and Finance
  • Escalate quality issues post-release and ensure structured root cause closure (8D, PFMEA, control plan updates)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Operations
  • 5+ years supporting hardware supply chains (electromechanical preferred)
  • Strong understanding of gear manufacturing (hobbing, shaping, grinding, heat treat)
  • Experience with precision machining, GD&T, and tolerance control
  • Experience owning end-to-end material readiness for complex assemblies
  • Strong ERP/MRP and analytical skills
  • Ability to drive execution in fast-paced, regulated environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with electric motors, gearboxes, EV propulsion, aerospace, or automotive hardware
  • Injection molding supplier management experience
  • Exposure to NPI, production ramp, and sustaining operations
  • Familiarity with PPAP, PFMEA, control plans, and configuration control
