We are currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor. This position requires an experienced professional with the ability to manage the day-to-day schedules that come from managing the logistical needs of a large-scale operation while developing and implementing all logistics processes required to successfully support The Service/After-Sales spare parts needs. The successful candidate will have spent considerable time in an automotive after-sales warehouse environment. This position requires partnership with the Service Parts Warehouse Manager, to implement new processes and manage changes, and manage warehouse staff (Material Handlers). Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment. Candidate will need flexibility regarding shift/hours.

The Role:

  • Manage each of these activities within your area of responsibility (either directly or through a service provider):
  • Manage staff and assign tasks related to Inventory Management, Inbound Material, Outbound Shipping, Sub-Assembly and Kitting Operations
  • Promote Safety, 6S Culture, and ensure Regulatory Compliance (FTZ, OSHA, CTPAT)
  • Develop and Lead a team comprised of Material Handlers, both 3-PL provided and Contract employees, to meet and exceed metrics for efficiency and accuracy
  • Act as the primary information source for the warehouse material handling team, maintaining compliance and consistency for daily business requirements
  • Assist Warehouse Management in development, implementation, and execution of standard operation procedures,
  • Assist Warehouse Management in building and delivering productivity plans.
  • Assist Warehouse Management with evaluation of performance objectives and metrics to determine productivity requirements to achieve quality expectations
  • Solve problems by providing out of the box ideas, and applying new techniques and best practice to get to the root cause of issues
  • Build strong relationships with Warehouse Staff through effective communication and collaboration to support company goals
  • You Bring:

  • SAP and WMS experience is helpful, LEAN, GK, or Six Sigma Certifications a plus
  • 5+ years total in material handling management in a Distribution environment, or Supply Chain Operations with thorough knowledge of Supply Chain systems and processes
  • 5+ years of experience in any of the following areas: distribution center management, materials handling, decision support systems and technology
