We are currently seeking a Hazardous & Industrial Waste Supervisor to support Lucid's Advanced Manufacturing Plant in Casa Grande, AZ.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
·       Arizona - $92,000 to $132,000 on an annual basis

The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)

You Will:

  • Responsibilities as Team Leader include management of hourly personnel to ensure resources to cover staff absence and workload capabilities; and to address disciplinary issues in line with company policies.
  • Ensure strong Team interaction and recognition with shift briefings to communicate Team objectives and best practices.
  • Create a work environment for the Team to complete assigned responsibilities and tasks while maintaining high standards of safe work.
  • Ensure Team activities are carried out in accordance with Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) policy.
  • Maintain coherence within waste tracking systems in Excel, Smartsheet, Jira Ticketing System, and 3rd-party software.
  • Act as liaison with waste disposal contractor to manage waste shipments and ensure Hazardous Waste Coordinator provides required updates in waste tracking systems.
  • Identify data gaps within waste tracking systems and take corrective actions.
  • Review metrics at least monthly with Sr. EHS Engineer.
  • Support emergency response for hazardous waste team first responders to waste and chemical-related incidents to address risks and Team availability.
  • Identify training/coaching opportunities and create One Point Lessons (OPL), and Lucid Online Learning courses to ensure understanding and compliance.
  • Ensure consumable management by monitoring inventory and ordering supplies.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and weekends, if needed.

  • You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, Engineering, or related field with 3-5 years RCRA-specific waste management experience, preferred.
  • 8-10 years RCRA-specific waste management experience without degree.
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing experience, preferred.
  • Excellent and successful communication and interpersonal skills in work across various levels of the organization.
  • Strong computer proficiency in MS Office applications, and database management systems.
