As a Metallic Stress Engineer for the Structures team, you will be responsible for reviewing and generating Fatigue & Damages Tolerance structural analyses of aircraft metallic structures.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:

  • support sample test execution and full-scale test
  • analyze coupon test results to determine material properties 
  • perform fatigue and damage tolerance analyses
  • compare expected and actual fatigue spectrum
  • perform trade studies
  • complete hand calculations and FEM analysis of structures
  • perform stress analysis based on internal loads
  • provide support to other internal departments that may require your Stress skills

  • Minimum Qualifications we are seeking

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or related degree from an accredited University.
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in structure and/or system stress ideally in fatigue and/or damage tolerance
  • Interest in becoming an expert in metallic fatigue and damage tolerance
  • Basic knowledge of FEM using industry recognized tools
  • Creation and validation of finite element models at different scale (Global and detailed) an asset
  • Basic knowledge of PDM/PLM systems
  • Programming skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, team player

  • Experience with CATIA 3DExperience
  • Experience with Google G -Suite and Slack
  • Test plan experience
