What You’ll Do:

As the Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will own the supplier selection and negotiation process for our Indirect Spend category. Archer is a visionary company moving at an incredible pace, and our Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for engaging internally and externally at every level to ensure successful partnerships with best-in-class suppliers. This is an opportunity to work alongside world-class cross-functional leaders on a core enabling technology for a company that is disrupting sustainability and transportation.

  • Develop the strategic supplier base for Indirect Spend, with a focus on:
    • Airline Operations, Branding, Software, Facilities, Professional Services, among others
  • Negotiate best-in-class value through thorough strategic cost negotiation
  • Drive contract negotiations to support the successful execution of company vision
  • Engage directly to executive leadership, presenting on strategic initiatives
  • Manage business relationships to develop productive partnerships, acting as a primary point of escalation
  • Work closely with cross-functional leaders to recommend policies and process changes, enhancing organizational value and efficiency
  • Travel: 10%

What You Need:

  • BS/BA and 8+ years of experience, or MBA/MS and 5+ years of experience
  • Services and software cost negotiation expertise
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, and highly-regulated environment
  • Strong executive communication and internal/external negotiation skills
  • Ability to cut through ambiguity and detail limitations to make concrete and sound decisions
  • Insatiable curiosity and a keen attention to detail
  • Solid analytical and computer skills (excel/sheets, word/docs, powerpoint/slides)

At Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business. We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $124,800 - $156,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
