What you need:
● 10+ years of experience in a related field
● BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
● Expert in Python or C, C++
● Very experienced with model based development using Matlab/Simulink
● Experience in developing and maintaining relational databases
● Extensive experience developing enterprise level applications
● Expert at gathering user requirements and developing design diagrams, user documentations, and project plans for developing software
● Expert at architecting software tools and development, including internal and external APIs
● Very knowledgeable of standard software development tools:
● Continuous integration - TeamCity / Artifactory
● Version control - Git / Bitbucket
● Issue tracking - Jira
● Development environment application deployment, and orchestration - Ansible
● Excellent organizational and communication skills
● Comfortable leading Agile/SCRUM methodologies and tools throughout the organization
● Familiarity with Tool Qualification Levels TQL
Bonus Qualifications:
● Experience developing real-time software for a Hardware-in-the-Loop aircraft simulator
● Experience building and developing for a COTS HIL platform (dSPACE, NI, ADI, etc)
● Understanding of the National Instruments (NI) software suite
● Solid understanding of communication standards and protocols (RS-422/485, CAN, ARINC-429, AFDX, Ethernet, TCP/IP, USB etc...)
● Experience automating and executing test plans
● Familiarity with fault injection methodologies
● Proficiency with model based development using Matlab/Simulink
● Experience with DO-178 and other aviation standards ● Familiarity with or a passion for aviation
