What You Will Be Doing

A Tableau Developer uses the Tableau platform for data analysis, data visualization, and the BI process of an organization. They are responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing a BI system for an organization. Leverage problem solving and critical thinking skills to derive insights from data. Develop powerful data visualizations used to make informed business decisions. Automate data sources to enable ad hoc data queries, dashboards, and subscriptions/alerts

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

• Develop customer relationships with internal customers and gather requirements towards their analytical and reporting objectives
• Translate business requests into detailed business requirements and specifications to aid with prototyping and development
• Develop reporting data sources with performant SQL statements to access data from multiple database sources (ex. Redshift, AWS RDS, AWS MySQL, Maria DB, Snowflake, MS SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)
• Develop and maintain reports, report schedules, dashboards, publishing, and user administration
• Demonstrate the ability to optimize dashboards with large/multiple data sources
• Understand key functionalities in Tableau: data connections, order of operations, discrete vs. continuous, etc..
• Research data issues associated with reports and source data accuracy
• Diagnose problems and troubleshoot production issues
• Quickly analyze complex data patterns in order to establish technical solutions to resolve data issues
• Move work tickets through the development cycle
• Provide end-user training and education programs to onboard and support power users for Business Intelligence tools
• Adhere to standards and processes to ensure the successful operational support required to ensure daily reporting information is timely and accurate so that day-day-business decisions can be made by the Executive team
• Ad hoc analytics projects involving (but not limited to) data visualization, manipulation of large data sets, usage of statistical modeling to derive insights and hypothesis testing
• Attention to detail in a dynamic work environment balancing multiple projects and work activities
• Comfortable working with a variety of teams and able to communicate succinctly with technical and non-technical departments
• Seek out new users within the company who could benefit from BI reporting

Requirements

• 6-7 yrs+ related experience
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Expert level with Tableau required
• Strong SQL skills required, including custom SQL query
• Strong skills in data analysis and data modeling required
• Must be able to think critically to deliver existing performance analysis
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation
• Knowledgeable in all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Project software applications
• Experience with Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, and/or Athena, MariaDB
