Staff Software Engineer, Infotainment Platform

Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.&nbsp;</p></div><p><strong>The Role:</strong></p> <p>As a member of the team, you will be working with business partners, software development engineers, testers and UI/UX designers to design, implement, test, launch, document, and maintain complex software applications, tools, and systems. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define how our in-cabin systems communicate and capture the customer journey. We are at the center of the infotainment experience. You will learn a variety of cutting-edge technologies, development processes, and develop well-rounded skills in leadership and design.</p> <p><strong><br>Basic Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.</li> <li>5+ years of experience with developing and delivering embedded software</li> <li>Strong coding ability using C++, or similar programming languages.</li> <li>Strong problem solving and analytical abilities</li> </ul> <p><strong><br>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High proficiency with C/C++ or QNX/QT.</li> <li>Extensive experience developing embedded systems, with Android, Linux, QNX.</li> <li>Experience with Linux bootup, kernel configuration, device driver interfaces, debugging tools.</li> <li>Experience building complex EMBEDDED systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.</li> <li>Experience building automotive infotainment solutions in QNX and/or Android</li> <li>Understanding of software engineering processes and best practices</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Location:&nbsp; Remote United States&nbsp;</strong></p><div class="content-conclusion"><h4>Equal Opportunity</h4> <p>Rivian is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
