Role Description
We’re looking for a Staff Process Engineer to join a new manufacturing team. This team is responsible for developing novel processes used for manufacturing iron electrodes to be deployed in Form Energy’s commercial product. Your role will focus on the electrode manufacturing process, starting with bulk iron material handling systems through quality control of finished electrodes. This work will start with experiments and equipment substation prototypes used to develop equipment architectures and processes. Moving forward, you will be responsible for the development and maturation of electrode manufacturing processes and commissioning high-budget, high-volume equipment at new production facilities. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of process development experience and creativity used to develop world class, fully automated processes. You’ll work closely with equipment design engineers, cell design engineers, material scientists, supply chain, operations, facilities, and outside consultants. As we design, build, and ramp up equipment operations, expect to become deeply entrenched in the intersection space of equipment design, process engineering, and materials engineering, as the team works toward a common goal of manufacturing high performance electrodes, in high volume. This role provides an exciting opportunity to develop novel processing technology while doing your part to help combat climate change!
