We are looking for an experienced, customer-centric Staff Electrical Engineer to join our team and repower industrial heat at scale. This role will be responsible for all electrical design, testing and troubleshooting of customer projects.

What You Will Do (key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to): 

  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of medium voltage devices and systems to design and implement effective medium voltage solutions for power distribution 
  • Integrate various process sensors for tasks such as temperature measurement, power measurement etc. 
  • Prioritize and implement safety measures in the design and execution of electrical systems that are safe, efficient and compliant with industry standards  
  • Create and interpret single line diagrams to facilitate efficient communication and documentation 

What You Will Bring: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field 
  • 10+ years of experience in MV electrical engineering 
  • In-depth knowledge of medium voltage systems and components 
  • Experience with different types of sensors to enhance system functionality 
  • Expertise in working with different types of actuators to control and optimize electrical controlled systems 
  • Deep understanding of high-power transformers and their integration into electrical systems 
  • Familiarity with safety standards and protocols. 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 

Bonus Points! 

  • Knowledge and experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). 
  • Experience or knowledge of PV solar systems 
  • Ability to use standard laboratory equipment (oscilloscope, multimeters, power meter, etc)

This role is on-site in Alameda and necessitates being on-site at our Alameda HQ 3-5 days per week. The estimated annual salary range for this role is $173,000 to $210,000 and it would be eligible for Rondo's excellent benefits listed above plus additional compensation in the form of equity. Please note that some pay bands may have wide ranges of compensation to accommodate candidates' diverse sets of skill levels and experience.
