Resource Management: Oversee the allocation of electrical engineering resources across multiple projects and manage project priorities to ensure successful delivery.
Compliance, Quality & Analysis
Code Compliance & Standards: Champion and ensure strict compliance of all product designs with complicated regulatory requirements (NEC/NFPA 70), UL listings (e.g., UL 508A, UL 891, UL 1558), and customer specifications.
Design Reviews: Conduct thorough schematic reviews, load calculations, and coordination studies as an integral part of the engineering design release process, serving as a subject matter expert for quality assurance.
Cost & Efficiency: Initiate and lead reviews focusing on cost reduction strategies and enhancing overall manufacturing efficiency across multiple product lines.
Collaboration & Innovation
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead strategic collaboration initiatives with Mechanical Engineering, Sales, Project Management, and Manufacturing teams to resolve problems and foster creative, high-value solutions.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and implement improvements to design procedures, processes, and methodologies, driving innovation and enhancing safety.
Mentorship: Provide expert technical guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to electrical design engineers, fostering a high-performing team and nurturing future leaders.
