We are currently seeking a Vehicle Quality Specialist for low voltage harnesses. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. You Will:

  • Perform the Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process for low voltage harnesses related customer claims
  • As part of the RCCA, conduct real-world validation of the low voltage harnesses hardware implemented fixes
  • Track down customer satisfaction and warranty costs reduction impact of RCCA-derived countermeasures
  • Be the low voltage harness quality technical expert
  • Warranty part return tear-down and technical analysis
  • Field incident scrambles and investigation
  • Cultivate a synchronized relationship with cross-functional stakeholders including Design Engineering, Manufacturing Supply Chain, Service and Quality with the objective of driving issues to a resolution
  • Lead Cross-Functional Teams for resolution of complex and/or chronic issues for low voltage harnesses in an accelerated pace
  • Consolidate inputs and material from cross-functional teams to create presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Communicate progress and status at all leadership levels including the C-Suite
  • Be responsible for Quality Objective achievement (3 Months-in-Service, Consumer Reports) for chassis and vehicle dynamics group
  • Represent the Voice of the Customer (VOC) and drive feedback to Design and Manufacturing Engineering teams in order to catalyze improvements in product, process & equipment
  • Define and implement inspection metrics, constantly striving for higher quality 
  • Vehicle audits
  • Feed market quality experience into new model design specifications
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
  • You Bring:

  • At least 5 years of relevant development experience in fuses, harness prints, harness packaging and any other relevant commodities to low voltage harnesses
  • Proven experience working with mechanical engineering teams on harness drawings, solving packaging issues and finalizing connector selection
  • Proven experience working with technicians to build harnesses for test benches
  • Experience in selecting wiring sizes and types as well as connectors
  • Harness Debugging experience
  • Outstanding technical problem-solving abilities based in a strong grasp of engineering fundamentals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive mindset and strong work ethic
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Strong technical understanding of the fundamentals of suspensions, brakes, steering systems, vehicle dynamics and controls
  • Systems approach to engineering product development, including demonstrated ability to bring together teams from different engineering disciplines
  • Demonstrated experience of engineering problem solving
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to drive decisions using data and metrics
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Goal-oriented self-starter and motivator
  • Field quality experience

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • 8 years of relevant development experience in fuses, harness prints, harness packaging and any other relevant commodities to low voltage harnesses
  • Automotive powertrain experience - especially development of EV powertrain systems
  • Experience in two full product development cycles for low voltage harnesses
  • Previous direct involvement in product launch for mass production
  • Experience with DFMEA, 8D, DOE other structured evaluation and problem-solving methodologies
  • Six Sigma / Black Belt
  • Technical Master’s degree
  • OEM experience
