Perform the Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process for chassis and vehicle controls related customer claimsAs part of the RCCA, conduct real-world validation of the chassis hardware and/or software implemented fixesTrack down customer satisfaction and warranty costs reduction impact of RCCA-derived countermeasuresBe the chassis and vehicle dynamics quality technical expertWarranty part return tear-down and technical analysisField incident scrambles and investigationCultivate a synchronized relationship with cross-functional stakeholders including Design Engineering, Manufacturing Supply Chain, Service and Quality with the objective of driving issues to a resolutionLead Cross-Functional Teams for resolution of complex and/or chronic issues for chassis and vehicle dynamics in an accelerated paceConsolidate inputs and material from cross-functional teams to create presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholdersCommunicate progress and status at all leadership levels including the C-SuiteBe responsible for Quality Objective achievement (3 Months-in-Service, Consumer Reports) for chassis and vehicle dynamics groupRepresent the Voice of the Customer (VOC) and drive feedback to Design and Manufacturing Engineering teams in order to catalyze improvements in product, process & equipmentDefine and implement inspection metrics, constantly striving for higher quality Vehicle auditsFeed market quality experience into new model design specificationsAbility to travel domestically and internationally as required
You Bring:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering fieldAt least 5 years of relevant development experience in chassis, suspensions, steering systems other relevant commoditiesOutstanding technical problem-solving abilities based in a strong grasp of engineering fundamentalsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProactive mindset and strong work ethicAbility to thrive in a fast paced, rapidly changing environmentStrong technical understanding of the fundamentals of suspensions, brakes, steering systems, vehicle dynamics and controlsSystems approach to engineering product development, including demonstrated ability to bring together teams from different engineering disciplinesDemonstrated experience of engineering problem solvingStrong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to drive decisions using data and metricsExcellent organizational and interpersonal skillsGoal-oriented self-starter and motivatorField quality experiencePreferred:
