We are currently seeking a talented Sr. Validation Engineer for Lucid Smart Energy Products and the Smart Energy Program. This position requires an experienced professional with a proven track record of excellence in validating products and bringing products to the market. The candidate demonstrates strong organizational capability and the ability to command respect from the talented cross functional teams. The ideal candidate will communicate proactively, so each individual team member remains aware of the timing and delivery expectations placed upon them and that critical issues are identified and brought to the attention of senior management in a timely manner.

The Role:

  • Define the methodologies for validating smart energy solutions
  • Define acceptance criteria for signing off customer facing solutions
  • Define and maintain a scheme of maturity levels to integrate towards production
  • Drive validation of components and overall solution
  • Ensure product roll out and safe and secure operation of products at customers
  • Identify certification and attestation needs and manage to get appropriate approval for components and overall system
  • Influence product definition driven by current and future certification needs
  • Work with attestation institutions such as UL to get certification as needed
  • Oversee operation in the field and identify symptoms for potential field problems.

  • Qualifications:

  • Technical experience in the field of electric vehicle charging
  • Technical experience with smart home energy systems and the electrical grid
  • Strong organizational skills to define and oversee complex testing and validation requirements
  • Preferably 5+ years experience in test and validation engineering on technical projects
  • Strong ability of abstraction and to create complex and complete sets of test cases
  • Strong drive to ensure test case execution and retesting as required and to manage and track found bugs and their resolution

  • Education:

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline (electrical engineering, microelectronics, computer science, physics, or similar).
