The Inspire Design Team is dedicated to making access to affordable clean energy available to everyone. We are finding solutions to large-scale challenges that will forever change the way people think about their home, their energy and their carbon footprint. We solve complex problems in a challenging space while remaining focused on our mission at hand and helping empower our users through education and access. 

As Senior UX Designer, you will be focused on understanding our business needs and building unique and scalable experiences for the internal tools that fuel our business. You will work with other product designers, product managers and other stakeholders along the way and deliver a consistent experience across multiple features and systems.

How you’ll help: 

  • Leadership: Lead and grow better experiences for our business in partnership with product managers, provide design direction, and push the quality of the design work. 
  • Communication: Build relationships with cross functional team members and executives and effectively speak to process, design goals and team goals.
  • Execution: Influence product strategy and lead the team in executing design work with a high level of polish, and understand how to solve a range of product challenges across multiple applications.
  • Cross-functional: You bring consistency and best practices in all facets of your role through design principles, process, team norms and communication.

Some Year 1 Deliverables:

  • Define and execute UX strategy  for developing efficient and effective tools that our team will leverage to acquire and  support our customers.  
  • Align UX Research and Marketing Research findings for shared user understanding & strategy.
  • Audit of current tools for usability enhancement opportunities and development of a roadmap of improvements in partnership with Product
  • Establish UX design system elements for more efficient standards

Here’s what you’ll bring to the table:

Non-negotiables:

  • 5-8 years of experience as a product/UX designer building business or SaaS products.
  • You are a user experience specialist who can drive the process end-to-end and deliver a polished, engineering-ready experience
  • You have experience working with—and maintaining/evolving—design systems
  • Strong case studies showcasing your end-to-end process from problem definition to final solution and impact on users and the business

 Nice-to-have:

  • Experience With UX research
  • Comfort conducting alignment workshops
  • Previous experience in the climate or energy sector.
