Lucid Motors is currently seeking a Technical Writer. In this role, you’ll write procedures and edit documentation that helps the end-user take the right action. Candidates will be expected to show their contributions to previous publications, demonstrate a process/project mindset, an ability to learn quickly.

You Will:

  • Assesses the department needs for whom the process documentation and procedures is intended.
  • Creates or works with Department Leads to create diagrams, flow charts, graphics, and other visual aids to assist readers in understanding a process or procedure.
  • •Gathers feedback from the users to improve process documentation.
  • Organizes files in Document control and file organizational skills
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Write procedures from scratch that meets requirements for ISO 9001 and IATF 16949
  • You Bring:

  • Minimum 5-10  years of Technical Writing experience required.
  • Knowledge and experience with ISO 9001 Basic Foundation, preferably as Internal Auditor.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent technical writing and grammatical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to present complex data in clear, concise text.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently.
  • Ability to edit and proofread work.
  • Strong collaboration skills to be able to interact with other groups. Work on-site at Lucid Motors Newark, CA.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe photoshop, Atlassian Confluence, JIRA, or related software. 
  • A portfolio of hard copy or soft copywriting samples and projects.
  • Education: College degree, B.S. Graduate, Masters degree a plus.
  • Experience: Proven experience as Technical Writer within Hi-tech industry from an ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 Automotive certified company. 
  • Experience: Internal Auditor for ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
