Responsibilities:
- Support development of vehicle sensing components from cradle to grave development
- Support development of vehicle algorithms to ensure integration into the vehicle
- Develop clear specifications and design standards
- Hardware block diagrams and connection loads
- Software state machines and functional flows
- Mounting and packaging considerations for proper functionality
- Develop DVP and internal test plans related to performance at component and vehicle level.
- Manage internal resources, interface with suppliers, and collaborate with all Rivian organizations.
- Support design, sourcing, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing activities.
- Research, establish, and achieve targets for performance, quality, cost, investment, and weight.
Qualifications:
- B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience on Electro-mechanical components
- Knowledge of validation requirements related to electromechanical components including low power circuits and sensors
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of integrity
- Ability to self-direct and adapt quickly to program changes.
- Working knowledge of regulatory and certification requirements.
- Experience self-managing issues to closure involving all necessary teams.
- Experience with writing component specifications
- Ability to understand electrical topology and circuit diagrams.
